U.S. Stocks – Stock Transfer-In Guide

Updated this week

This guide will help you transfer U.S. stocks from another brokerage account into your BIT securities account.

The process consists of three main stages:

  • Submit a stock transfer-in request in the BIT App

  • Initiate a stock transfer-out with your original broker

Once completed, the stocks will be transferred to your BIT account.

Step 1: Submit a Stock Transfer-In Request in the BIT App

First, you need to initiate a stock transfer-in request within the BIT App.

Navigation Path

Open the BIT App > Tap the bottom menu > Stocks > Portfolio > More > Share Transfer-In > U.S. Market

Fill in Transfer Details

  1. Select the broker (the broker currently holding your stocks)

In the “broker” section:

  • If the broker appears in the dropdown list, select it directly

  • If the broker is not listed, select “Other Securities Firm” and manually enter the broker information

The required information includes::

  • Delivering broker

  • Participant number

  • Contact person

  • Phone number (optional)

  • Email

📌 Notes:

The above information refers to the outgoing broker details

This information can be found in the broker’s app, official website, or help center

Or obtain it by contacting the broker’s customer service

  1. Fill in the outgoing broker information (e.g., broker name, account details)

  2. Add stock information to be transferred:

    • Stock name/code

  3. Currently, only U.S. stocks are supported for transfer-in

Cost Basis (Optional)

  • If not provided: the system will use the closing price on the transfer date as the cost basis

  • The cost basis cannot be modified after submission. Please contact customer support if needed

Submit Application

After confirming all information is correct:

The email contains important information required for the stock transfer.

Step 2: Initiate Stock Transfer-Out with Your Original Broker

Initiate a “stock transfer-out” request with your current broker to transfer stocks to BIT.

Different brokers may have slightly different processes, but the overall logic is similar:

General Process

Some brokers do not support self-service transfers in their apps. You may need to contact customer service or submit a transfer form. Please follow your broker’s specific requirements.

Typical steps include:

  1. Log in to your broker’s app/web platform or visit the official website

  2. Look for “Stock Transfer Out / Transfer to Another Broker”

    • Search via help center or contact customer support

  3. Provide the following information as instructed by your broker:

Scenario 1: Transfer from IBKR to BIT

BIT broker information and your BIT account details:

Account number at the broker: MATRIXOMNI30

    • Downloading, signing, and returning forms

    • Manual verification by customer service

Important Notes

  • The transferring-out broker may charge transfer fees

  • Some brokers require signed transfer forms

  • Stocks cannot be traded during the transfer period

When the original broker completes the review and processing, the stock transfer will begin.

Wait for Transfer Completion

  • After approval, stocks usually arrive in BIT within 1–5 trading days

  • Actual timing depends on market conditions and broker processing speed

Once the transfer is complete, the stocks will appear in your BIT securities account.
