Source of Wealth refers to the origin of your total accumulated assets and is represented by the activities you undertook to generate such wealth. Sources of wealth can be salary income, investments, business ownership, gifts and inheritance and cryptocurrency mining or a combination of several categories that explains how your wealth was accumulated over time.
Source of Wealth example:
A salaried worker using their salary to make cryptocurrency/equities purchases and made investment gains should select both “Salary Income” and “Transaction and Investment Income”.
“Transaction and Investment Income” was selected but did not include other any categories to explain how the initial capital for investment was obtained. It doesn't explain where your original investment money came from. You should include additional categories to explain your source of wealth.
Source of Funds refers to the specific origin of funds used to deposit into your this platform account. Sources of funds are typically a subset of your established source of wealth.
Source of Funds example:
A salaried worker’s source of wealth can be both “Salary Income” and “Transaction and Investment Income”. It is reasonable for their source of fund to be from “Personal Savings” and/or “Investment Income”
If you only choose “Transaction and Investment Income” for Source of Wealth, it doesn’t explain where your first investment money came from (your starting capital). “Investment Income” can be a reasonable Source of Funds, but you should also select one or more additional Source of Wealth to show how you originally obtained the money you invested.
